The Raiders have offered tenders to six of their exclusive rights free agents, tendering contract offers to linebacker Kaelin Burnett, cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, offensive tackle Matt McCants, fullback Jamize Olawale, safety Brandian Ross and running back Jeremy Stewart.
There were no terms disclosed on the contracts. The exclusive rights designation means that the players involved cannot negotiate with any other team, so it is likely that all six players will sign their offers. Until that happens, however, this is not considered an official transaction so none of the players will be listed as being currently on the team.
The exclusive rights contract is typically given to players that have only been in the league for one or two years, which would typically be UDFA players. Both Chimdi Chekwa and Brandian Ross have accrued 3 years. A team spokesman said that Chekwa was a special case and remains an ERFA. No information was disclosed about Ross.
