Justin Miller released

After spending only one week on the roster, defensive back and kick returner Justin Miller was released by the Oakland Raiders according to a report on kffl.com. This move has to be in response to the rash of injures the Raiders are facing. He was brought on to bolster the kick return game, but was ineffective. The question becomes who will be the next in line to return kicks.

There are reports that Raiders are looking at bringing back Langston Walker. This move could be to make space for the offensive lineman on the roster. The Raiders need the reinforcements along the line. Walker can play both guard and tackle, and the Raiders have weaknesses in both position, and Walker can provide quality depth.

The kick returns become a question. Louis Rankin started as a kick returner, and was cut because he was not doing well. Jonathan Holland took over for one week, and didn't do well, which prompted the signing of Miller. Barring any surprise signings, it will likely be either Holland or Johnnie Lee Higgins returning kickoffs on Sunday.
