TFDS Predicts: Atlanta Falcons will defeat the Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders had their tails between their legs after the butt kicking they received from the Baltimore Ravens. The Raiders looked like a team that just didn't have "it." Now they come home to face a team on the rise in the form of the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons aren't as physical as the Ravens, but from the looks of the Raiders this year the Falcons won't have to be.
TFDS Predicts
The key for the Oakland Raiders will be to do something they have not been able to do consistently in years, and that is stop the run. Falcons running back Michael Turner watched from the sidelines as LaDainian Tomlinson would bulldoze the Raiders year after year, and now he has to be licking his chops for the chance to do the same. The Raiders have not shown that they can stop the run, and if you have Turner in a fantasy league, this would be a good week to start him.

The Raiders will be without Darren McFadden for a second week. They will also breaking in a new fullback in Luke Lawton, so the running game looks to struggle again. The Raiders' have yet to show that they can mount anything resembling a consistent passing attack, but if they can Atlanta will be the opponent to do it as they have a weak secondary.

This one will be close, but once again, alas the Raiders will not be able to get it done. Matt Ryan will just have to manage the game and hand the ball off to Turner for the most part.

Patrick- I've got nothing but love for you and Rob and even L Dizzle, but come on, man! This site was cool, but now inhales rapidly. Who is okay-ing these posts? Al Davis? David Lo Pan? Somebody else who is a thousand years old?

I love the insight you guys provide and I love the back and forth we used to be able to have, so let's find another place to have it or fix this site.

How sad is it that the Falcons are favored over the Raiders... at the start of the season, I never would have thought you'd be predicting a Falcon win at this point... but you speak the truth... ouch

Mike and Spokane, I could be completely off, but I don't think anyone is screening you out. Several of my posts weren't getting through as well. Think there is still something wrong.

That said, Rob and Patrick I hope you can do something. While the site looks a little better, it's just not as functional anymore, and that's much more important. Even without the dropped posts, it's harder to navigate, doesn't go straight back to the page you were one after you "post," etc. I'd hate for you to lose readership because of all these bugs. I know you are working on it... and are probably a million times more frustrated than we are. Hope MVN works with you. Good luck

Patrick-

This post proves an earlier point I made about how you think with your heart, and not your head.

Now you are attempting to use your head, we'll have to see how it plays out for ya...

I think we could look back at a time when you picked the Raiders to win this game, now you apparently feel differently.

You can believe what you want to believe. Me, I'm kinda tired of this season already. It's all just a little too predictale for my blood!

Here are some interesting facts someone posted on another site:

- Our scoring has gone down since Cable took over.
- We’ve been blown out twice in just 3 games (this happened twice all year in 2007)
- We have the highest paid DT in the league yet can’t defend the run
- We have an EXTREMELY high priced secondary but in the bottom half of the league against the pass
- Have the 7th WORST defense yet Rob Ryan is untouchable
- 5 head coaches in 6 years.
- Russell’s average QB rating under Kiffen 82.5. Under Cable it is 64.9.
- Average yards on offense under Kiffin - 308. Average yards on offense under Cable/Knapp - 268 (that’s including an overtime game).

The guy who posted this was trying to say Kiffin factor was the reason we're playing poorly. Actually both coaches numbers are very poor! To draw conclusions after 3 games is unimportant!

The only real truth is, the Raiders don't have me!

Guys-

Rob and I don't have anyone banned from the site. We are still experiencing issues, that we are both working diligently to fix as soon as possible.

I have forwarded your concerns to MVN's higher ups, please bear with us for a bit longer as we get it all sorted out.

MVN decided they needed to move to a new platform, which forced the change. We are working hard to make it work for you guys.

Thanks for all your support, hope to see you guys at the live blog tomorrow.

LOL @ SpokaneOakfan "this site inhales rapidly"

I know what you mean about the functionality of the new interface Spok. It certainly doesn't seem as welcoming as it used to be and the lack of comments lately are proof of that I think.

And hey, what do you mean "and even LDizzle" like it is a surprise that you would "have love" for me. I think I should be insulted but to be honest I'm not. I take it as a compliment even if it may been a bit backhanded. Cheers! And I will continue to post the same content I have been posting. And hopefully that is a good thing.

Elkins - I know you are not a Kiffin fan, but those things are at least a touch of evidence that it was not Kiffins fault. Kiffin did a pretty good job with what he was given. I know you don't believe that... but are you going to tell every coach we've had for the past 20 years except Gruden were horrible? And even if you do say that then the top is still to blame, if for no other reason for failing to hire the right coach (?you). And why is that the defensive coach, who clearly blows, is "untouchable?" Again, the answer is at the top... and when a pretty good coach wanted to get rid of that weak link... you know the rest.
