Fearless prediction: The Oakland Raiders will beat the San Diego Chargers

I just have a gut feeling on this one. Granted, at one time I had a gut feeling that the Oakland Raiders were going to be 10-6, and that doesn't look overly realistic at this point so you may not want to bet your 401k on it. The Chargers are coming off of a big win over the New York Jets on Monday Night and the Raiders are coming off of a heartbreaking loss in Buffalo, which means that conventional wisdom would have the Chargers as the team to pick. Somehow, my gut says the Raiders will pull this one out.

Off the field, the Oakland Raiders have been more resembling of a circus sideshow than an NFL Franchise with persistent rumors of Lane Kiffin's demise. This seemingly endless chaos has been punctuated by a near altercation between a sportswriter and a Raiders executive. The environment around the Raiders seems like it is setting the team up to do anything but win.

On the other hand, the Chargers had a rough opening two weeks before rebounding against the Jets. The Chargers are missing Shawne Merriman and Antonio Gates, not to mention LaDainian Tomlinson is looking like a shell of himself. Somehow, Norv Turner is not on the hot seat with all this going on, despite his permanent look that resembles a deer in the headlights.

The Oakland Raiders will win this game precisely because they are not supposed to. In its own way, a win will be Lane Kiffin giving the finger to Al Davis, saying "I got this team to .500 and beat two divisional opponents to do it, now fire me you senile old geezer."

Of course, since Al Davis's favorite mantra is "Just win, baby" he would be happy that the Raiders stuck it to the Chargers and former Raider coach Norv Turner. The problem is that the rumor mill is certain that Davis wants Kiffin gone, and there is no way he could justify it after a win over a division rival who has dominated the Raiders as of late.

The situation in Oakland would seem to logically dictate a Raider loss to the Chargers, but it is so zany that the only thing that would truly be fitting would be for the Raiders to beat the Bolts, and they will. You heard it here first.

Damn man...they actually allow you to drink at work? The Chargers are not a 1 and 2 team...regardless of the record.

And come sunday we are going to make Al's decision a little easier by beating his crew of convicts by 30.

The only thing the Raiders will pull out is a BIG FAT BOLT UP THEIR ***. Way over by half. We wll let

Volek get some snaps in. Gates is not out and if you go back 8 years and look at the Chargers-Raiders matchup. LT runs, throws, and catches all over them.

Love your optimism Pat. Please God hope you've got it spot on. If we can keep it to 2-2 and have a bye week in front of us I would have taken that at the start of the season.

I' m hoping that we can keep the heat on the opposing QB. It's essential from what we've seen this season. Cutler shredded us on week 1, we nearly let KC off the hook and we should have finished off the Bills. Jam the opposing receivers up front and bring the fifth pass rusher from a variety of directions. And let's do it for 4 quarters and not 3. If we allow Rivers the same time we gave Cutler look for a similar result. The oppositions RB's aren't beating us but their QB's are when give them a cushion. Let's hope Warren is fit. We need him in Rivers face.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: Free Jamarcus Russell!!!! Let's play with ambition and cofidence. I want to see us win the game and not just avoid losing it.

Go Raiders!!!!!

i'm with you pat.. i have a good feeling about this one too! it's about time we end this losing streak and go 2-2 into the bye week like last year! i'll be there hollerin and hootin..

yea john.. even tho LT had how many yards last time we played you? i think it was 56 with 0 TDs? yea thought so kid-o... and that was with our swiss cheese defense... and i think we have already proved that isn't the case anymore as we've limited running backs LJ and lynch(for most of the game) thus far ... so beating us by 30 points? haha, i guarrantee it that you are too pussy to put your money where your mouth is on that one son. IF we do lose this game.. it will be a very close one.. AS LONG AS ROB RYAN DOESNT PLAY SOFT ZONE PREVENTATIVE WIN DEFENSE WE ARE ALL GOOD!

besides.. i don't see a great rush stopping defense like last year... and since that's all we do... GOODLUCK trying to stop it...

We have a very young team and I think we have too many injuries to be real confident. The off-the-field circus just makes it even harder. I have not looked at the line for this game but I have to believe we are not favored. If Kiff is to be fired I am sure hoping he can stick it to Al by winning this game. Funny thing is, I never thought that winning a division game would be equated with sticking it to our teams’ owner. Times have certainly changed.

it should be a close game, i ve been a raider fan for 20 years, now if the players want to keep kiffin they will try a little harder, if they want a new coach they will play like they have against the chargers for the last13 out of 14 games were gonna be 1-3 and all we will hear is NEXT

and scott.. fargas and warren is too many injuries? like dizz said yesterday.. do your research before you type. OF COURSE we're not favored.. neither were the dolphins last week against NE ... doesnt mean we can't take them down. PLUS, despite the off field BS... we did very well against buffalo.. i don't think the players or kiffin let that come into play at gametime..

Oh...you mean the game that he sewed up the rushing title, and left the game in the 3rd qtr?

that game?

I'm curious.

Have you ever actually watched a Raider game?

Ok, ok, scratch that. We'll just chalk it up to being a little slow.

The Chargers have disappointed that is for sure. They scored a lot of point on Deener and NYJ's terrible defenses and have blown a lead in the last second (twice) just like the Raiders did against the Bills. However everyone thought the Bills were going to wipe the field with the Raiders just like this game.

The Chargers defense isn't looking too good and the Raiders defense is a lot better than the Broncos and Jets so the Raiders at least have a shot. Just as much of a shot as they did going into the Bills game. In this case though, perhaps Ryan will have learned his lesson and stick to the defense the Raiders play best as opposed to that zone prevent crap.

I have no illusions about this Raiders team and how they stack up against the Chargers. The Chargers should win but the team that should win isn't always the one that does. And since the Raiders have proven that they are not pushovers, it could be a close game and the Raiders have a shot.

BigDawg: "crew of convicts"? did you just wake up from a coma or something? What conivcts could you be talking about? Talk trash if you like but at least make sense.

John: "A big fat bolt up their ass"? What the hell is wrong with Charger fans? That sounds about as gay of a threat as I have ever heard.

We have a good chance to beat SD. A little play action, a few screen passes and some solid, aggressive defense and we can win in a close one.

yeah, the comment about freeing jamarcus up......can't happen. Even if Kif wanted too, the receiving is weak. I think everyone knows this. Althought, given that the Running Backs are a little banged up, naturally they will look to pass a bit more. And of course the Raiders have a chance to win this game. If they played like they did in Buffalo, sure. I think it will be kept close, and I hope oakland wins it so kiffin can walk out of there with his finger up to that organization of clowns like pat said earlier. Go Kiffin and the Raider players!

why are chargers fans so optimistic? even if u make the playoffs, the team doesn't know what to do there. You can't say that for Oakland. Yeah, they haven't been there in a little while, but when they do get in, at least they pass the first round. Come on guys.

We're going to take this one and knock the Chargers back to SD with a 1-3 record. SD's run defense is vulnerable and with McFadden healthier than last week we'll pick up a lot of yards on the ground. LT isn't the RB that we all know him to be. He's coming off a knee injury and is almost 30 yrs old now.(the age when RBs "hit the wall"). Rivers has been great but he is do for a bad game and why not against us? I can see Russell and Miller hooking up on a few big plays. J.L. Higgins should have another outstanding game returning kicks and might take one all the way this week.

RAIDERS 4 LIFE ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Oh, and that game that we shut LT down was the game that SD needed to win for playoff positioning. He was pulled because he was ineffective not because they had the game well in hand. JaMarcus almost led us to a victory in that one and that was his 1st start.

The Raiders' D is far better than the D we had in week 17 of last season. I'm looking for some big time hard hitting in this game. Phillip Rivers will be running for his life on Sunday.

Warren's not playing, what do we do at tackle. I think our D fell through their a** last week for two reasons; one the soft zone D Ryan called for, and two was fatigue. It was already a puzzle as to why we were going with 3 DTs to start the season. What are we going to do about it now....go with two?

fred wakefield dude.. the guy who deflected edwards ball which got the PI call brought back, remember?... he's actually not that bad. i mean, as long as he plugs ups some running lanes and can get inthe backfield sometimes to cause some disruption.. he might be at least serviceable there until warren is better.. hopefully :X

azraider: The fatigue was CAUSED by the zone scheme. Any defense that is kept on the field for 13 of 15 minutes in one quarter is going to get fatigued.

And furthermore, the fatigue was showing mostly on the Raiders linebackers not the DTs. Thomas Howard especially had been busting his ass all game and lost a few steps down the stretch through no fault of his own.

That said, I agree that we don't have enough depth at the DT spot especially with Warren going down, Fred Wakefield filled in late and was tremendous. The Raiders short term DT answer is to rely on Wakefield to pick up the slack and fill in when Kelly and Sands are winded. But if the D stays agressive like it did last week then the depth should not be a problem because they will not be on the field for extended periods of time.

Hopefully, after this week the team will sign a DT. Isn't Rod Coleman still out there?

The raiders need to stop playing that tentative defense. We need to finish games. We need to stop taking plays off, defensivley and on offense. Final score this weekend raiders 23 chargers 17.

yes i totally agree with you dizzle.. they will get the pressure on w/o warren in there as wakefield is a powerhouse, i do agree gerard is playing a lot better than his previous years thus far, and he will be missed in the game... but its uptoryan to keep the pressure on with full on blitzes on a regular basis. it's OBVIOUS that everytime ryan runs his BULLSHIT PREVENT D that we get scored on EVERYTIME... he couldn't learn his lesson with the broncos passing all over us.. and even when a 3rd string nobody like thigpen can drive down and score.. he had to hand the bills the game by doing it.. keep thomas howard blitzing up the middle.. the man is unstoppable when he times the snap right running in between the lines.. rivers will have a hissy fit as the fag always does when things don't go his way. plain and simple.

Hey there little RAYDUH fans!!! hahaha have you missed me this week? How is that 20-63 record since the Super Bowl going for you? How about blowing that lead in Buffalo? hahaha dont lie now. When you losers were up 23-14, how many of you just knew that the Chokeland Raiders would choke in the end like you ALWAYS do! You see, the Raiders are losers. Born losers. Their owner is a gigantic turd of a loser. Their team is comprised of overrated draft picks, overpaid washed up veterans, and young players who would not make the practice squad of other teams. Their fan base is pathetic and delusional; All you have to do is look at Patty Patterson's 10-6 preseason prediction to understand that the water must be laced with LSD in Alameda County. And now little Patty predicts a win over the Chargers? What are you smokin son? You think your 26th ranked pass defense is going to shut down Philip Rivers? You think your porous rush defense is going to stop the Human Raider Killer LT, now with Gerard Warren out of the lineup? It is not going to be pretty. All you fantasy players get your Chargers into your lineup Sunday, because you will be guaranteed a ton of points. I am not even a Charger fan, but I know that the Powder Blue Gay Boys are going to take over the Oakland Coliseum on Sunday and make it their own. And the pathetic Raider fan base will be crying in their beers, whining about the refs, complaining about a so called Raider conspiracy, and blaming everyone but the real culprit, Old Man Al, for their loss. How sweet it is going to be. And don't worry Raider fans. The Fifth Horseman will be right back here on monday, to rub your faces in your latest loss, to remind you of your new 20-64 record since your fluke Super Bowl appearance, and to remind you that yes, the Raiders are the BIGGEST LOSERS OF ALL TIME!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH

Yeah San Diego are favored to win the game in Oakland this Sunday, but keep in mind that those guys in Vegas aren't on point ALL the time. While I usually respect the lines that they set, let's just keep in mind that last week the Pats, Giants, and Bills were all favored by more more than a touchdown apiece and none of them covered. In fact, I just got done watching the USC game and they were favored by 25.5, and they lost straight up. While I think the Chargers are better than thier record would indicate, this is still a winnable game for the Raiders. Even though LT seems to save his best for our boys, he's not the same with that toe injury, which was evident throughout the Monday Nighter against the Bretts. Gates is hurting as well, and McNiel and Hardwick both might miss the game. That's two thirds of thier offensive line fellas. Not to mention they're coming off of a short week. That defense isn't the same without Merrimen either. Until Monday Night, thier "vaunted" pass rush only amassed 2 sacks, and the pressure they generated on Favre had more to do with his unfamiliarity with the offense. They're living off of forcing turnovers, but they give up yards in bunches. They're a shell of the team they've been over the last couple of years, and let's not forget that they started 1-3 last year too. The only difference is that Phillip Rivers is playing out of his mind, but I don't believe he can keep up this torrid pace very long. It's all set up for the Raiders. If these players truely want Lane Kiffin to remain as thier head coach than they need to come out inspired and prove it to Al Davis, and what better way of doing that than to beat up the Bolts? and so help me if I see Rob Ryan calling for that defense to play that zone prevent shit....

eks- whether you like it or not letting Russell go down the field more often IS the key to to our offense breaking out. 150 yds with no TD's and no picks isn't going to beat the best week in week out even with a great ground game. Our big threat is the ground game. We have to use that as a foil to launch the passing game. Play fake 'em to death.

If we are going to beat the Chargers the passing game HAS to show.

First off Fifth, all those yards came against the broncos, the 4th quarter of the chiefs game and the 4th of the bills game. For F sakes the bulls had 75 yards in the first half and KC had 89. When we play a agressive D we are a top 5 defense. But when ryan plays soft zone and halls decides to give a 10-15 yard bump we get burtn. Rankins dont mean crap. If you watch us you will see what im saying. Yeah were ranked 26th but take out the 4th quart in the past 2 games and the fiasco that Rob RYan put on in the Bronco game i GAURANTEE you we are ranked in the top 3. GAURANTEED. Anyways who predicted we will win 23-17 You are wrong. We will not win if we are only up by 6 cause Ryan is trying to get kiffin fired. I REFUSE to belive someone can be so stupid when my 10 year old kid even knows that ryan should no play a soft zone to prevent the big play. 20 yards a snap in essense is the same thing, but it takes more time off the clock so we can even come back and score. If Ryan MANS up and calls a risky agressive D in the 4th we will win. And oh well if we end up losing or giving up a big play, atleast he called the right D and we would end up losing anyways with his prevent D. Plus 5th did you not see our 3 man rush we had on you in the 2nd quarter when you were on our 15 yard line. Enough said about our D Cord play calling. Anyways I swear Ryan has a conspiracy going on and its hillarious that the old senial man can not notice what couch actualy is making our team lose. Kiffin is just a honest hard working young mind who knows football. Sure he made a mistake last year but the guy is in his 2nd year of coaching, give me 1 coach who has never mis managed a clock. And ill give you someone who is not a coach. Kiffin will bring this team backk Look at our progress from 2006 to 2007 to this year. Its day and night. Sure we are 1-2 but last year we could not even fathom almost beating hte bills. Another thing is Given Davis decided to sign hall to a lucrative contract, i GAURANTEE hes going to be stupid enough to let ASO go, who is the best corner in the game hands down. Yes he has no INTS, sure he has no batted balls, but he has MAYBE 4 balls thrown his way all year. That stat right there shows how good he is, especialy with a pro bowler to his other side. Given halls has been as soft as a babys butt lately. But ill give it to hall he has been good in the past 2 games besides 4th quarter, and i dont know how much of that is him and how much of that is Rob Ryan. But if Ryan does play a agressive game all 4 quarters and you see our other corners up on the line bumpin and runnin and hall is playin 15 yards off again, i think we should give ryan an apology cause even if you call hte perfect game you are not going to win if a corner gives up a 10yard pass every play. And thats if his weak AZZZZ makes the tackle. He had some horrible effort last game. Plus i love our 2 biggest signing, Walker and Hall have been complete busts, money would of been MUCH MUCH MUCH better spent locking up burgess ASO, Howard and Morrison, then signing a top notch reciver next year, like a Boldin a Roy Williams or Ocho Cinco. MUCH BETTER> GO RAIDERS

hey pat ,I HOPE YOUR' RITE of course!

last week i told all, that the riaders would scorch the bills & win outrite , not just lose by less then 9. now i predicated that on the bills offense not being the kinda 'bonecrusher" that would take aadvantage of " THE ROBRYAN DEFESNE" , or have an explosive pass offensene also. .

so my 2 thoughts on that game were oak historically does well up in buffalo suprisingly !

& #2 their own run game would churn up over 150 yds against anyone ! and that is how they riaders would win a 20-13 kinda win !!!

now that is basically what happened in this game !! till the "ROBRYAN" HADICAP " came into play !! up unitl the 4th qtr the bills off was playing it by the book, '"take what defense gives " approach . then when reality set in the off cord said hummm , lets just go out there and attack where we want !!! look @ the play calling , int he last 9 mins for bills, run @ #56 burgess, run @ #95 richardson the other weak spot of the def !!! and just throw the ball @ step 3-5 & not 5-7 the nulify any pass rush !!!

look at the results 17 points in 1 qtr i belive !!

kinda keeps in text all te rob ryan dopes tha thought for the last 7 qtrs that his job was safe!!!! well it is not !!!! sunday vs chargers his

" RYAN 5.0 VERSION DEFENSE "

IS GONNA MAKE CHARGERS LOOK LIKE " AIR CORYELL #2 "

look at facts the " RYAN 5.0 VERSION " does everything ass backward still , SDT is supposed to penetrate & gets sacks ??? the lbrs are supposed to backpedal & read after snap !! like the 2 safetys !!

now that means the ryn def will always be a step behind the offesne !! SOUND FAMILIAR!!!! ALWAYS A STEP BEHIND THE OFFENSE !!!!

so charger off output will be at or more last weeks 30 + point performance vs jets , who have a good run def !!! chargers have not broke 100YARD RUSHING ALL YEAR YET !! BUT THEY WILL BY THE HALF VS ROBRYAN !!!! SO LOOK FOR OAKS OFFENSE TO FLOURISH ALSO !!! THIS COULD BE A OLD SCHOOL AFL SHOOTOUT SUNDAY !!!! BUT RYAN WILL ALWAYS LOSE THE GAME FOR U ONE WAY OR ANOTHER !!!!

OH THIS IS TYPICAL RYAN RATIONALe , funny thou ! so thanxs !!!!

OH P.S. TYLER BRAYTON ALREADY HAS HIS 1ST ASCK IN GAME 3 W/ CAROLINA !!!! HE ONLY 1 SACK IN LAST 3 YEARS UNDER RYAN !!! ALSO THEIR RUN DEF THANX TO BRAYTON IS GREATLY IMPROVED !!!! SO GOOD GOIN RYAN U GOT RID OF THE GUY WE NEEDED AGFAIAN !!!

LMAO..You IDIOT.

Which is the absolute WORST PASSING TEAM IN THE NFL????

The Raiders.

Who has taken every snap behind center for the Raiders?

Jamarcus 'I waddle like a tank" Russell. (btw..have you ever seen anyone who is that big go down so easily? Guy flops down like someone tossed out a 250 lb sack of potato's...he doesn't just pass ugly, he plops ugly.)

Out of all of the starting qb's, who have started all three games so far RUSSELL IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST.

And how stupid are you to bring up Smith? lol...dumbass...our starting qb is O'Sullivan. Who's 10th in the league as far as starting qb's..unlike your joke behind center.

See...we put the qb out there who won the position in camp.

The Raiders? You did what the Niners did with Smith. You paid a lot. You wanted a return on your investment. You left them in to see if they would sink or not.

Smith sunk

Russell is about as low as you can sink and still verify he's not disappeared.

That will likely happen soon enough.

the reason we bring up smith is because he WAS your starter last year and the year before RIGHT?... and was a complete bust YEA?.. so for you to judge russell with 4 starts inthe NFL makes you a DUMBASS HYPOCRITE. end of story.

Poor Little Kushman is sad because he cheers for a pathetic team that is 20-63 over the last 5+ seasons and is about to lose their 10th game in a row against the San Diego Ass Chargers. What a shame for little Kushman that the team he supports are nothing but losers. Delusional, pathetic, losers. This Chokeland Raider team is sad, and really should be reduced to the Arena League, dont you think? hahahahahahaha

You Raider fans kill me. Always talking about old championships. This team, this organization, this coach is a complete joke. No one in the NFL takes the Oakland Raiders or their (ok now time to take off the Halloween costumes) fans. We will jump on you and never let up until the 4th quarter. And as for LT coming out of theam last year with 56 yards and 1 TD. We already had the 3 seed down and the rushing title. Raiders started fast last year and look how you finished. You should bow down to the Chargers for reppin the AFC West

John I read this article as well as every Radier fan's comment on this page and NO ONE said anything about "past chamionships". Did you copy and paste your comment from every other comment you have made prior to a Raider/ Charger game?

Kushman: You shouldn't get caught up in what Filthy Whoresman and MikeWhiner Weiner Check say. They are snot nosed little brats that have been bullied their whole lives. If you don't acknowledge their pathetic existence, they will crawl back in their holes. In Mike's case: his glory hole.

Why don't all you haters fuck off? Don't you bitches have anything better to do? Its just football if we lose, we lose plus one of the main haters is a 49'er fan. And we all know the niner franchise is as much of a joke as the Raiders. And the fifth horseman kid, i have no clue what team he likes nor do i care. He's probably on some bandwagon team. Point is you'll need to get your head out of your asses & go to your teams blog. Bunch of idiots. Mike i've told you before you are the WORST EXSCUSE FOR AN ADULT! AND HORSEMAN YOUR PROBABLY JUST A KID, IM ASSUMING BY YOUR EXTREMLY IGNORANT COMMENTS!

Poor little Patty is upset. So is poor little Kushman, has his panties in a bunch too. Calling me a bandwagon Cowboys fan, never mind I have had Cowboys season tickets since the mid 80's. You all just can't accept the fact that you support a bunch of losers. The Raiders and their fans are pathetic, delusional, losers. 20-63 since 2002 speaks for itself. Your team is going to lose double digit games yet again. And I will be here laughing the whole time at what a sad sack the Raiders have become. I better not make too many comments though, I don't want that big bad John Herrera coming after me. I bet he could take down Kimbo Slice lmao hahahahahahahahahahahaha

haha whinermike again, wow pussy boy who couldn’t show up at the raider niner game to talk shit in person, has to just type on here all day.

Mike: Don't try and run that bullshit, little bitch. YOUR SORRYASS not only was told where I would be for the GB game, but I gave you directions. That's when you disappeared UNTIL THE GAME WAS OVER..then you borrow your sisters balls and showed up.

..AFTER IT WAS SAFE..

Besides, do you really think your mommy would let you wander off by yourself? I don't think so.

================================

.wow i love how you judge a guy that has had very little experience as a starter so far?.. it’s obvious the man needs improvement and he will do just that so you’re just an idiot in everyone’s eyes on here for calling him saying he’s terrible,

Mike: I didn't say he's terrible..I SAID HE SUCKS. YOU said he's terrible.

In that case, I agree with you.

Yeah, LMAO, no kidding on the 'He needs to improve".

Can he get any worse?

yes maybe not a STUD LIKE ALEX SMITH HAHA NOW THATS A JOKE …

Mike Hey, Mama's boy? Smith isn't our qb, dumbass. O'Sullivan is..you know...the guy in the top 10 qb's? Where's Russell again??

OH YEAH...LAST..lol...DEAD LAST.

You're right..he's terrible.

Mike: In rushing? How about the other half of the offense..passing? DEAD LAST.

------

and you saw our defense tear it up against buffalo.. or didn’t you notice..

Mike: Oh yeah...they're just awesome.

Sure..I remember before the season started...YOU STATED THE RAIDERS D WILL BE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE..except you're not.

You're not even in the top third of the league.

Or the middle third.

YOU'RE IN THE BOTTOM THIRD OF THE LEAGUE for total defense at 21.

But that awesome backfield that YOU stated would be the best in the NFL??

26th IN THE NFL. So yeah, lol...we saw that D..and we laughed.

LMAO at little Patricia soiling her little pink panties.

Patty: "wahhhh...stop picking on us. just leave us alone. I'm going to tell."

Scroll back a month, whining bitch...you know, just before the season started, and you mouthed off non-stop.

Now? Pleas and begging to stop??

Not sure who's the bigger pussy, you or Kush?

The biggest coward has already been established...that's Ditzle..but pussy?

Still LMAO at both of you given directions on where I was, where both of you mysteriously 'forgot' or 'Mom wouldn't give me a ride" copouts.

Go get a crying towel, Patty...your season of pain has just begun.

Asomughua has a fracture in his elbow, Hall sucks, 2 of our Oline are out, we have no WR that can catch. DMC is hurt, Fargas is out...

On top of all that, LT owns us, always has. He'll probably put up 250 yards on us.

Kushman,

I'm a little late in responding, but when I referred to injuries, I did not limit it to just Fargas and Warren as you pointed out. I included Fargas and Warren as you mentioned, but I also don't want to forget DMAC's toe that is most definitely limiting (as I saw him slip sliding on a field no one else had trouble getting traction on). I'm referring to losing our number 2-receiver (Carter) in the preseason. I'm referring to our LT (Harris) who may/may not play this weekend, also having Burgess pretty dinged up, a partial torn muscle may not be considered and injury? Namdi with an elbow problem where he didn't practice, losing McQuistan for the year and losing Justin Griffith for the year. I don't want to leave another starter, Carlisle, off the list either. Maybe you and Dippzle are right about my assessment of injuries, I should do more research, that is not really too many critical guys to our team, especially since we are so deep as Kiff pointed out at the beginning of the season. Please note, that last comment was sarcastic as we all know this is not a very deep team in many areas.

So RayDuh fans. How does it feel to be the Chargers bitch for the PAST FIVE YEARS!

0-10, and it's gonna be 0-11 before the season is over.
