Coming Soon: The 2007 Oakland Raider postseason awards

Week 16 already! Where does the season go? I spend all offseason waiting for it to get here and then it flies by in a flash. It seems like only yesterday that I was getting hammered at the tailgate before the Detroit Lions game. Now I have two more weeks to enjoy Raider football before it goes away for another eternity. At the conclusion of the season, I will be holding the first annual Thoughts from the Dark Side Raider awards. Here are my nominees:

Rookie of the year- Zack Miller-Tight End, JaMarcus Russell- Quarterback, Jay Richardson-Defensive End

Best Free Agent Signing- Cooper Carslisle-Guard,  Justin Grififth-Fullback,  Dominic  Rhodes-Running Back, Josh McCown-Quarterback

Surprise of the Year- Justin Fargas-Running Back, Paul McQuistan-Offensive Tackle, Thomas Howard-OLB

Disappointment of the Year- Josh McCown-QB, Daunte Culpepper-QB, Dominic Rhodes-HB

Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and team MVP will be announced when the awards are announced.

The final category is the Fans' Choice award. that is decided on by you guys. Leave your choice for the best player on the 2007 Raiders in my comment box and the one with the most mentions wins.

Just a suggestion to include Chris Clemons among the nominees for best free agent signing. Leads the team with 7 sacks.
